Maths scaffolds for rehearsing foundational (KS1) learning
These scaffolds are designed to support learning, rehearsing and embedding number facts within 10 and bonds to 10, as well as doubles and odd and even numbers. These scaffolds can be used as part of the teaching for these concepts. Alternatively, after content has been taught, these scaffolds can be used as additional practice either within the maths lesson or at other opportunities, to further rehearse, embed and build fluency.
For some learners these scaffolds can be used to rehearse foundational learning which is not yet secure.
The same practice scaffold can be used more than once, as this is likely to support building up fluency and retention over time.
An example of how the scaffold could be completed is provided after each template practice slide.
