A complete suite of resources for primary schools to support effective fluency sessions.

For learning to be retained and reactivated, pupils need opportunities for retrieval and rehearsal. These resources have been designed to allow pupils time to remember, practice and secure, the learning necessary to be successful in mathematics.

The suite includes:

• start-up guide for leaders including 3 videos
• staff development launch session (staff meeting resources)
• 18 PowerPoints for use in class (3 per year group, Year 1 to Year 6). Two of the videos exemplify a session
• guidance and an overview of all the sessions

Used regularly and with the whole class, these resources can help to revisit and secure previous learning, close gaps and build confidence. Children have the opportunity to remember and embed mathematics learning, securing fluency and improving attainment.  

For each fluency slide that the pupils see, a further guidance slide is provided to outline the concept and suggest further questions and adaptations. This allows each slide to be used multiple times, embedding the learning.
